Sri Lankan Kale Mallung

About the Recipe

Try this Sri Lankan kale dish that can be eaten alone or added to a meal. Such as a brown rice with a protein of your choice.

Ingredients

250g of kale or silverbeet

1/2tsp mustard seeds

1tsp of garlic paste

50g of sliced white onion

5 curry leaves

approx 60g of dessicated coconut

1/4 lemon cut into a wedge

Preparation

  1. heat 1/2tbsp of oilve oil in a hot pan

  2. add onion, garlic paste, mustard seeds and curry leaves. Fry off until onion translucent

  3. add chopped kale and fry through

  4. add desiccated coconut and stir through

  5. squeeze lemon juice to taste and add salt to taste as needed
